And here’s the long version:
I originally started The Picture Desk around spring 2008, during my junior year at San Francisco State where I studied photojournalism and worked as the multimedia photo editor at our student paper, the Golden Gate [X]press. While the original intent of the blog was more or less to be a place for me and fellow picture editors to release our frustrations, fun, and maybe insights out in a place safer than the newsroom itself. Well, the idea never materializes beyond my cranium.
Our semester staff kicked ass. Best semester ever. We churned out 16-weeklies, produced way too much mutlimedias, and, as an editor, I did my time screaming at people’s work on a daily basis. Go show biz.
Now, a year later. I am not a [X]press photo editor anymore, and I am about to graduate in little under three months six weeks. So I thought I’ll restart this blog once again. I am not sure where this adventure will take me this time around. Maybe I’ll share some recent work, some randomness, or perhaps something more.
